I was participating in a competition (Summer 2009 promotion - John & Susan Peterson) and this is what I did...
(well, I also wanted to win ...something)
We (Anita is big part of my we) recruited 8 new first line distributors - 5 came from internet advertising (corporate wheel on richlife.co.za) where we normally take three slots every two weeks. People order packages and we now get 1 distributor for every 4 people that buy these packages. I have worked consistently on this now since 31 July with new and better work habits - that is phone people as soon as possible after they have shown any interest and follow up with personal e-mails. I also do one mail shot every ten days or so about other aspects as well (life and not only Herbalife). I have done this process for about a year now, but it is the first time I am attacking it with real zeal and devotion (since July 31st)!
We obtained two distributors from weight loss challenges. We were running three at the time - one morning group was fairly small and two evening groups. For the one group we travelled almost 200 km every Tuesday. This is probably the area where we will get a high percentage of future distributors.
One distributor is a friend who joined. We gave her Herbalife as a wedding present before their marriage on 1 January this year and she said then that it is not working for her - now it is working for her, slowly though!
Our supervisor came from a friend that joined the business early this year as a discount customer. I have talked to him about becoming supervisor in August and in July we allocated 2500 volume points to him. He did the 2500 in August to become a fully qualified supervisor.
The rest of the volume for the month came from a number of different distributors - our own volume for the month was just over 400 points. The rest came from 12 distributors - two of them on the welcome back campaign.
I also did a trip to the Eastern Cape to attend a Supersaturday Herbalife training there. I took 3 distributors with me in my car. We ate Herbalife for most of the weekend (starting early on Thursday morning) - we had two meetings in a city called Port Elizabeth - about 700 kilometers from us the Thursday evening. On Friday we met Anthony Larter and Jeff - his Herbalife story is mind blowing and touches people everywhere. On Friday night we had a meeting at Butterworths and attended the training in East London on the Saturday.
My distributors were so inspired by the trip that they bought volume the Monday morning back in Cape Town (the Sunday I drove 1100 kilometers back over a 12 hour period and was fresh to have a good conversation with my wife Anita the evening). These four days changed our lives (Herbalife wise) - I met people that I would have never met, and I lost two kilogram in the process!
So you may want to consider a trip to boost your volume and to rekindle enthusiasm!
